I recently attempted my Japanese test for the second time. The first time did not go well because I barely studied for it and I had 0 motivation. But this time was different! I changed my class timings from twice a week to five times a week and studied and took notes. This made it much easier to remember things on the final day.
The Japanese proficiency exam is 180 marks and comprises if 3 sections- vocab, grammar and listening. Out of 180 marks, the minimum requirement for passing is 90 (if the exam is JLPT(Japanese language proficiency test)) or 80 (if the exam is NAT(Nihongo achievement test)). The first exam that I gave was JLPT and the second one was NAT.
For the first test I got really bad marks at 63/180 (passing was 90) which is 35%. But in the second test I got 130/180 (passing was 80) which is 77.8%. I DOUBLED THE PERCENTAGE!
I learnt that through perseverance and will power we can get through the hardest times. Lets end this on an ancient Chinese proverb, “Dripping water can eat through a stone.”
